Transforming a $20B Data tool into an Agentic OS
CommerceIQ hit a wall after four years of 100% YoY growth. I led the AI transformation from a data utility tool to agentic OS. Four parallel streams, seven designers, two years.
How I lead: six principles forged in practice
Nine years of hiring, scaling, and restructuring design teams at CommerceIQ. Six principles I'd stake my name on, and the stories behind each.
Designing in the age of agents
The AI-native design process, in six parts. Research as infrastructure, principles as executable logic, the design system as living code. Honest about what works today and what is still hard.
Labs, things I build on the side
An AI-powered health and wellness app that verifies whether a product's claims actually hold up, and personalizes that truth to each user's body, skin, and goals.
read →An AI writing partner that helps anyone write better. Challenges your thinking to go deeper, retains your tone, goals, and personal context, and shapes drafts for Substack, X, LinkedIn, and more.
coming soonA story-sharing app where a friendly companion helps you tell the story of your photos, then weaves your words and images into styled keepsakes, from memory cards to comics to junk journals, made to share with the people who matter.
coming soonA marketplace for instantly booking trusted local mobile photographers to capture life's moments. Photos auto-sync in real time, while a media processing pipeline edits and delivers polished photos and videos, without the hassle.
coming soonA bit about me
I live in Seattle with my wife Mounika and our daughter Nirvi. When I'm not designing, I play piano, follow stand-up tours, read comics, build Gundam kits, and shoot photos. I'm originally from Hyderabad and speak three languages.
I've been an artist since I was a kid, and I've always been drawn to solving problems in ways that leave people with more than relief. A small delight. A reason to smile. Design is where that instinct meets service.
I want the internet to be a more beautiful, trustworthy, and calm place than it is right now, and I believe storytelling and craft are how we get there. Early in my career, I spent time at DreamWorks, where one principle stayed with me: every frame, a painting. Intentional, clear, and in service of the larger story. That's my philosophy of design.
Leadership came naturally once I realized I could drive bigger impact with a team than I ever could alone. The multiplier is what keeps me here.
